JOEL Luphahla will this week guide his FC Platinum team against his former side Simba Bhora in search of a first away win of the season.
The Zvishavane side are yet to register a win away from home this season.
But there far more bigger problems for the former Zimbabwe International to solve at Pure Platinum Play.
FC Platinum are struggling to shake off their defensive lapses where they have thrown away matches from leading positions.
Against MWOS last weekend, the former champions allowed the Norton side twice to come from behind and earn a point at Mandava stadium.
The previous week, FC Platinum led against Dynamos only to watch Dembare level matters in a 1-1 draw.
Luphahla is beginning to get frustrated by the familiar pattern.
“We are struggling to close shop and that is my responsibility as a coach to make sure we get that right,” he told the media on Thursday.
FC Platinum are yet to register a win away from home and Luphahla knows they have to nip this growing pattern in the bud.
He feels their season may slip away if the team doesn’t begin to defend better.
“It’s a worry, it is a concern, if you check we have only failed to score in two games,” added that former warriors winger.
“All these other games we have scored first, we are working hard to make sure we manage the games.
“I feel that everytime we score we do not manage the games, you want to make sure that each time you score you defend better.
“Some of the times I feel that we relax too much we think that the game is wrapped up. We believe too much in our ability to play and we attack and draw first blood but when we do that we need to make sure we keep it safe.”
