NEWLY established Redcliff based side, Wangu Mazodze have appointed former Lancashire Steel midfielder Isaac Nyabvure as their head coach.
Zhalala Zhululu, as the club is affectionately known, is the sister team to the Masvingo based side that also uses the same name, but plays in the Eastern Region Soccer League.
Wangu Mazodze will be playing in the Ruvimbo Central Region Soccer League this season.
“We’re excited to announce Isaac Nyavure as our FC Wangu Mazodze City Head Coach for the upcoming season,” the club announced in a Facebook post.
“The new coach promises to bring a great deal of enthusiasm to his new leadership role!”
Nyabvure, an experienced coach in his own right, is no new comer to the central region, having previously been in charge of Ivan Hoe fc in Kwekwe.
He has been working behind the scenes assisting the club in its player recruitment and was in charge of the team’s trials held last weekend.
Zhalala Zhululu will battle it out against former premiership sides Chapungu, Tongogara and Sheasham for the sole ticket for promotion to the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
