THE season is slowly and surely spiraling out of control for TelOne after they lost 1-0 to ZPC Kariba at Ascot stadium on Saturday.
This was their second loss in as many weeks after the 2-0 defeat away to Scottland last weekend.
Striker Jerry Tinashe Ruzive was on target to condemn the Wifi Boys to yet another setback in their fight for survival.
TelOne remains in the drop zone with 17 points from 23 matches, and coach Saul Chaminuka bewildered at full time.
“The game looked so easy, how it went so further away from us, I don’t know,” said a disappointed Chaminuka.
“Whether it is the attitude of the players or what, I don’t know, but we keep working.
“We had our moments but failed to score, and when you miss your chances, the inevitable always happens.”
However, it appears things are falling apart at the Gweru based outfit with reports that Chaminuka is losing the dressing room.
There are reports of disquet in the Wifi Boys camp with several players being sidelined.
After full-time the coach was quizzed on the continued sidelining of utility player, Blessing Matebeck who has been one of the best players for TelOne this campaign.
“Why are you asking about that particular player if I may ask,” retorted Chaminuka.
“We have 30 players that we registered, and we play players who are doing what we want to do.
“I will ask you, the last time he played, how did he play according to you? How did he play?” he added.
The Wifi Boys are four points from safety with 11 games to go.
TelOne will need to win at least eight of the remaining matches to guarantee safety.
Elsewhere, Caps United ended their six match winless run with a 2-0 victory away to Manica Diamonds.
There was also joy for Joel Luphahla after his side finally returned to winning ways.
Isakkar Guribab’s solitary strike was enough to secure victory against Bulawayo Chiefs.
