FC Platinum coach, Joel Luphahla has challenged his side to be more consistent if they are to catch up with the leading pack.

The Zvishavane side has blown hot and cold this season managing just two victories, four draws and one loss.

They find themselves in eighth place on the log standings with 10 points from seven matches.

Pure Platinum Play hosts MWOS at Mandava on Sunday and the former warriors winger feels they need to start picking maximum points on a regular basis

“We need to get back to winning ways,” he told the media on Friday.

“In our last match, we tried everything in Harare last weekend and with a little bit of calmness and sharpness in front of goal, it’s a match we could have easily won but we came back with a point which is not bad on the road.”

He added: “We seem to be drawing a lot of games, but we need to put up a string of wins and close the gap at the top, at the moment it’s win, draw, win draw which is not good enough.”

FC Platinum won a lot of plaudits for their performance against Dembare in the 1-1 draw.

The former Simba Bhora coach insists his side will stick to the passing football exhibited against the Harare giants.

“We want to teach these boys proper football because we are preparing for the future,” he added.

“When they leave FC Platinum and go abroad, there must be nothing alien about what they will learn there.

“But it becomes difficult when we play other teams because they know we want to play football on the deck.

“Some will come with aggression, but it’s something that we prepare for everyday, that we should be able to hold our own. We cannot change our philosophy that’s who we are, we want our fans to enjoy.”
