TELONE and Mambo high school have entered into a partnership which will see the two institutions working together in talent identification and grooming.

The Wifi boys chose one of Gweru’s oldest schools as their centre of excellence due to the school’s storied history in producing talent.

This is also part of the telecoms giant’s corporate social responsibility.

Mambo has produced some of Gweru’s finest talents that have gone to make their names in the country’s football circles.

Most recent notable names to come from Mambo High include former Dynamos midfielder, Isaac Pitamuja, the late ex Caps United and Chapungu defender Tapuwa Kumbuyani.

Former Monomutapa, How mine and Sheasham striker, Kuda Musharu is also a Mambo High product.

Reigning soccer star of the year Washington Navaya did his A levels at the school.

Under the agreement, TelOne will provide technical expertise to the school teams as well as providing equipment.

On Friday, the club presented part of the equipment to the school, which included two sets of playing kits, balls and several other related equipment for training.
