ARENEL Movers coach Philani ‘Beefy’ Ncube has sensationally claimed that he is too good to coach in the lower divisions.
This follows his side’s relegation from the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
The Bulawayo side are bottom on the log standings with 22 points with just one match remaining in the season.
Ncube is one of the most experienced coaches in the country.
He has had stints with teams like Bulawayo City,Harare United, How Mine and has also coached in Botswana.
Addressing the media after his side lot 1-0 to TelOne at Ascot stadium on Sunday, Ncube remarked:
“I don’t see myself coaching in division one, i am over qualified.”
Asked if he had any offers from premier league sides, Ncube said there was nothing yet adding that he would rather go farming if no offers came his way.
“If i get offers fine, if I don’t get any offers, I pray that the rains come and i start farming,” he retorted.
“Football doesn’t pay in Zimbabwe you have to diversify, unless you are coaching Scottland.”
The former Harare city gaffer is optimistic the Bulawayo side can make a quick return to the top flight.
He encouraged the team’s executive to keep the Arenel squad together.
“The youngsters have a good account of themselves, hopefully, there is future.
“The management has to keep this team together if they want to make a quick return to the PSL,” he added.
