ZIFA are currently holding a 10 day CAF D coaching course in Gweru which began on Saturday and will run until 12 May.
The course has attracted 38 prospective coaches from around the province.
Notable names taking part in the course include former national team player Phillip Marufu.
Other former players undergoing the training are former Caps United and Chapungu defender, Blessing Zabula, Blessed Mbavarira, Moenda Muchingami, Smart Muchabaiwa, Michael Mageja, Nhlanhla Ncube, Brighton Mugoni, Jimmy Tigere and Lennon Chisunga.
“The CAF D coaching course is currently underway in Gweru, Midlands Province, with 38 participants taking part in the first of two 10-day courses applied for by the region,” ZIFA said in a statement.
“A total of 70 candidates registered and paid for the programme, reflecting strong interest in coach education and football development in the province.
“The second course will begin immediately after the current one, with Sithethelelwe Sibanda serving as the Coach Educator.”
