FORMER premiership side, Shabanie Mine have set their sights on a good season after posting victory on the opening day of the season.
Since their relegation from the Premier Soccer League (PSL) in 2018, the Zvishavane side have struggled to assert themselves in the Central Region Soccer League.
However, this time around the 2001 BP Cup winners have started on a high note beating Super Strikers 2-0.
Tavonga Sithole scored a brace that gave Shabanie their first set of full points this season.
But with the Easter programme packed with fixtures, Shabanie will make a short trip across town to face FC Platinum U19.
Coach, Andrew Chisunga is of the opinion that his squad has more belief and are confident of a positive result.
“Winning our opening match has given us belief amongst ourselves,” he said.
“It is important to get a victory when the season starts, we just need to keep focused.
“FC Platinum are not an easy opponent but we will do our best to make sure we get a positive result.”
The Central Region Soccer League has a full program slated for this Easter holidays.
The highlight of Match day Two is that Gwanda derby pitting Super Strikers and Gwanda Pirates.
In other matches, Luke Petros’ Blanket Mine are at home to Dulibadzimu while Air force side Chapungu are away to Vhembe Stars Academy.
Kwekwe United travel to Gwanda to face police side, ZRP Gwanda at Phelandaba stadium.
Log leaders and debutants, Good Morning make the short trip to face Grain Tigers in Kwekwe.
Meanwhile, the Munhumutapa draw which was supposed to be done on Saturday was postponed to a later date.
