AFTER nearly a year on the sidelines, female fitness and bodybuilding sensation Yeukayi Midzi returns to the local scene this afternoon.
She will make her long awaited appearance at the Harare Classic at 7 Arts theatre this Saturday.
The Muscle and Fitness protegee is thrilled to be competing for the first time this season.
“This is my first event of the year and i really can’t wait to show how I have developed my physique from last year,” she said.
“Even the smallest improvement, i will be so proud of myself because this sport is not easy.
“It needs time, dedication, punctuality, consistency and a fighter’s spirit.”
Last year, Midzi made six first place finishes at the various provincial competitions as well as a single second place finish.
Midzi cleared the air on her prolonged absence on the local bodybuilding circuit this season.
“The first shows of the year i couldn’t attend any because of some health issues,” she intimated to The Echo.
“But with the help of the sport, I’m fit again and ready for action for the first time this year.
“Though i had little time to prepare, i did my best and can’t wait to show the best of my handwork.”
