THE Premier Soccer League (PSL) will this afternoon hold an Extraordinary General Meeting to deliberate on ZIFA’s proposal to increase the teams in the league from 18 to 20.
In a letter to the clubs, PSL acting Chief Executive Officer, Rodwell Thabe said:
“Notice is hereby given that the Premier Soccer League Board of Governors Extra Ordinary General Meeting shall be held virtually on Wednesday 19 November 2025 at 1430hrs.
“The relevant meeting link and documentation where applicable will be shared in due course.”
The EGM will also see the PSL table ZIFA’s proposal to create a National First Division.
On Monday, ZIFA wrote to the PSL expressing their intent to increase the number of teams in the country’s top flight.
This will also see the creation of a single Division one league, putting to an end the regional lower league set up that currently exists.
