DYNAMOS took a step further in their fight for survival in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League with a scintillating 3-2 victory against Scottland on Saturday.

Denver Mukamba struck a beautiful volley, ten minutes from time to seal the victory for the Mbare side.

It was a goal worthy it’s weight in gold, as Dembare’s poster boy finally got his revenge on the Scotts after they dumped him last season.

Scottland threatened to steamroll past Dembare when Tymon Machope headed home, Knowledge Musona’s cross in the first half.

But Shadreck Nyahwa restored parity for the former champions early in the second half.

Dembare then led moments later courtesy of a stinger by Vusa Ngwenya from the edge of the box.

Machope got his brace when he powered home Musona’s cross off another set piece.

With the match delicately poised, Mukamba unleashed a thunderous volley that went past Kelvin Shangiwa in goals for Scottland to turn the match on its head.

The goal secured all the points for Dynamos as they are now tied on 28 points with four other side’s above them including 13th placed Triangle.

For Scottland, they remain second on the log with 52 points, they now trail leaders Simba Bhora by two points.

FC Platinum on a free fall

Ngezi Platinum Stars striker Takunda Benhura scored in the last minute to condemn FC Platinum to their third successive league defeat.

They are now 14 points behind log leaders, Simba Bhora who lead the title race with 54 points after a 0-0 draw away to Green Fuel.

This means Ngezi Platinum Stars are third on the log standings with 46 points.

FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza acknowledges his side is in a bad space.

“Yeah it’s been a bad patch,” he said post match, “It’s like we are in a hole and no one is going to come and give us a rope or a ladder.”
