Former Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor made his much anticipated return to cricket on Sunday following the end of his international ban.

Taylor spent the last three and half years serving an ICC ban from all forms of cricket.

He made his return in the National Premier League tie at Kwekwe Sports Club.

He made an unbeaten 61 off 66 balls for Takashinga Patriots 1 in their 134 run win over Queens Sports Club 1.

The top order batsman will also make his international return this coming week against New Zealand.

Taylor is part of the squad for the second Test against the Black Caps.

Meanwhile, former national team captain Graeme Cremer also made his return to cricket in the same match.

The leg spinner posted figures of 4/38 in eight overs for Takashinga Patriots 1.
