Former Caps United winger, Ian Nyoni has joined Central Region Soccer League side, Grain Tigers.
The speedy winger had been unattached since leaving Makepekepe earlier this year following the expiry of his contract.
He has now retraced his footsteps back to his home town of Kwekwe.
At Grain Tigers, Nyoni links up with former coach, Tendai Chikuni whom he worked with at Chapungu.
Chikuni is building a very strong side at Grain Tigers comprising of several players with premiership experience.
The Kwekwe side could play a huge part in deciding the destiny of this year’s Central Region Soccer League title.
They have already signed former Chapungu left back Rick Bota, former TelOne winger Collins Chidomaya as well as McDonald Mavuto formerly with Sheasham.
Exciting attacking player Malvern Gauso is also making his mark at Tigers.
As part of their preparations for the second round of the league,the Kwekwe side had a practice match against Chapungu which ended in a 2-2 draw at the JT Airforce base on Saturday.
The Central Region is currently on a mid-season break that ends next weekend, with matches scheduled to resume on August 9.
The race for promotion has narrowed down to a two horse race between former top flight side, Sheasham and ambitious Kwekwe outfit, Hard Rock.
Sheasham are top of the log and enjoy a six points cushion over second placed Hard Rock.
