HARD ROCK coach Calvin Maphosa gives his assessment of the team’s performance in the Central Region Soccer League.
The ambitious Kwekwe side are second on the log standings, with 39 points, six points behind leaders Sheasham in the race for promotion to the Premier Soccer League.
The race has narrowed down to a two horse race between Hard rock and the construction boys.
There has been little room for error in the first half of the season, with Sheasham still unbeaten at the half way stage.
Maphosa opines that his side needs to be near perfect in the second half of the season, to keep their hopes of promotion to the PSL alive.
He feels they need to win all their remaining games in the second half of the season.
The Kasongo boys have already added three new players to reinforce their squad.
Former TelOne winger, Blessing Sahondo, Tinashe Mashaireni and Simbarashe Verenga are the new acquisitions.

“Overall we did very well according to my own assessment,” Maphosa said, as he ran the rule over his side’s performance in the first half of the season.
“The guys are really pushing and we hope for a better second half.
“We want to win as many games as we can in the second round that’s our goal.”
The Central Region is currently on a mid-season break, and will resume on 9 August.
