SHEASHAM coach, Prince Matore praised his players for showing character in their 3-1 victory over Hardrock on Sunday.
The Construction boys exhibited a lot of courage coming from behind to claim three points.
Johannes Sibanda had given Hardrock an early lead, before William Stima levelled with a beautiful free kick.
Former Chicken Inn striker, Nicole Mtatiwa rose from the bench to score the second for the Gweru side.
Gabriel Rugoho sealed the victory beating Takabva Mawaya on the near post right at the death.
And Matore was delighted by how his charges responded.
“I am happy their mental strength is improving day by day, what is left is to keep focusing and working hard,” he said.
Sheasham put some daylight between themselves and second placed Hardrock, at the top of the Central Region Soccer League log standings.
They are now on 19 points, three more than the Kwekwe side who are in second place.
But Matore is not getting carried away by the victory, saying there is still a lot of football to play.
“It is still early days, just seven games, we are still left with 27 games, so it is a marathon,” added Matore.
