ZIFA Central Region Soccer League side, Blanket Mine have reportedly parted ways with coach, John Phiri.
According to impeccable sources, the former Shabanie Mine midfielder, was on Monday told not to report for work anymore.
Sources add that, Phiri is a victim of in-fighting in the technical department.
The former Loss Control coach, led a technical department that also included Former Shabanie Mine and Black Rhinos midfielder, Max Ruza, who is the team manager.
Ruza was in charge of the team as the head coach last season before being reassigned to the post of manager.
It is understood, one of the reasons why Phiri was asked to step aside, is that he was not playing some players who were in good stead with powerful figures at the club.
“Phiri was told not to report for duty starting this week,” a source told this publication.
“When he arrived at the club, he made a couple of changes that seem to have rattled some at the club.
“As a result, he was asked to step aside, it appears like he will not be returning to the club.”
Phiri leaves Blanket Mine sitting 10th on the log standings with six points from five matches.
The Gwanda based side will host log leaders, Sheasham on Wednesday at the Long John stadium.
