TELONE coach, Hebert Maruwa is targeting a turnaround of his side’s away record when they face Manica Diamonds.

The two sides clash in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Sakubva stadium on Saturday.

While they have enjoyed a good home run with a 100 percent record,TelOne have largely struggled on the road.

They are yet to register a win away from home picking just a point on the road – one all draw against Dynamos.

In the other two away games, they lost to Herentals and Simba Bhora.

Maruwa is confident the upcoming fixture against the Mutare side should be the turning point for his team.

“The team is in good shape and we are prepared,” said Maruwa.

“We just need to go there with a positive mind and get three points.”

“Of late we have not been playing good on the road but this time we need to go and make sure we get three points.”

The former Dynamos and Black Rhinos coach knows that the match against Manica Diamonds will not be a stroll in the park.

The Gem boys are looking to return to winning ways after suffering a humiliating 4-1 defeat away to Simba Bhora.

“It’s not easy playing Manica, its a good team with a good coach,” he added.

“They are wounded, coming from a heavy defeat so they will throw everything at us.”

In form striker, Washington Navaya is expected to provide the cutting edge upfront for the Gweru side.

He is currently the league’s top marksman with five goals from six matches.

The WiFi boys occupy fifth on the log standings with 10 points from six outings and will be looking to keep abreast with leaders MWOS.

MWOS are firmly perched at the apex of the standings on 14 points from six matches. They welcome struggling Dynamos at Ngoni Stadium on Monday.
