BODYBUILDING and fitness athlete, Moreblessing Korai is living her dream after ending the year on a high following her triumph at the 2024 Zimbabwe National finals.
Korai came first in the women’s wellness category finishing ahead of Nicola Hwindingwi and Eleyna Whiteman.
Michele Chivake and Chanelle John came fourth and fifth while Jane Noel was in sixth position.
“I can’t really explain the feeling but all i can say is i am over the moon,” Korai said.
“It takes a lot of courage to scoop the national title.It is something that i was not sure of but dreamt about.
“You know we always dream, and when dreams come true it takes one a lot of time to believe.”
This is arguably the biggest victory in her career, having previously won the Gaborone Classics earlier in the year.
The 25 year old Zvishavane based athlete believes this title is a precursor of good things to come.
She feels this is the perfect foundation for her career to blossom.
“I am taking this tittle as a stepping stone to bigger tittles,”she added.
“As you know a small step counts to bigger outcome. With the God i serve, I am seeing bigger tittles loading.”
In the Women’s Bikini category, Linnet Tom walked away as the winner while Raquel Matambanadzo came second.
Blessing Sithole scooped the first prize in the Men’s physique division. South African based Knowledge Mutero was the winner in the senior bodybuilding up to 80kgs.
Gideon Teguru was the winner in the senior men bodybuilding over 80 kgs category.
