ZIFA presidential aspirant, Prophet Walter Magaya has begun work on the construction of a 10 100 seater, Chahwanda (The Heart Main Arena) stadium in Kwekwe.

The facility is set to be done in accordance with CAF standards and expected to be complete by mid January next year.

Magaya has partnered with Hardrock FC owner Shepherd Chahwanda in the construction of the facility.

The Yadah owner said the stadium is named after his partner, Shepherd Chahwanda the Hardrock fc owner.

“The stadium is named after Shepherd Chahwanda who is my business associate and main funder of this project,” he said.

“This is the magnified and transformed version of the Heart Arena coming out bigger and better with corrections of all the flaws of the first Heart stadium.

“My partner is strong enough and well encouraged, we will complete this most probably early January.”

Magaya has also embarked on similar projects in Malawi and Mozambique.

He says after the completion of the Chahwanda stadium, attention will move to the Eastern and Southern regions in the country.

“My other eye is on the Southern and Eastern region, they need the same,” he added.

“All the football lovers and administrators were shocked when they went to see the ground.”
