FC PLATINUM lost ground in the title race after suffering a shock 1-0 loss at the hands of Manica Diamonds.
The Platinum miners, who are usually dependable at home were outdone by an Enock Karembo first half goal.
The result leaves them trailing Castle Lager Premier Soccer League leaders Simba Bhora by four points.
The Shamva side though, who are on 50 points, will play TelOne tomorrow at Ascot stadium.
FC Platinum coach, Norman Mapeza could not hide his disappointment after the match.
“We are all disappointed, I think they got one opportunity after almost 30 minutes and that was the goal they got,” said Mapeza.
“If it isn’t your day, nothing will happen, it was not our day because our guys did everything.
“Hitting the cross bar and their goalkeeper saving, i think their goalkeeper kept them in the game.”
The Zvishavane side have not won any of their last three matches managing just a single draw.
Manica Diamonds coach, Jairos Tapera was happy with the result, singling out goalkeeper, Tedious Baye as the hero.

“I can truly say he saved us but that is his job the last man in defence,” Tapera said.
“It is his job to make shot stops and he did it for the team and the team did it for him.”
The result means the Mutare side make it back to back victories for the first time after a long dry spell.
In other results, Herentals put relegation threatened Hwange through the knife with a 2-0 victory.
In Bulawayo, Arenel Movers edged Green Fuel 2-1 to boost their chances of surviving relegation.
