DINSON Mvuma coach Joseph Michaels is banking on side to utilize home advantage when they play Chapungu on Sunday.

The two sides clash in a Zifa Central Region Soccer League match at Mvuma primary school.

The Mvuma side has made a good impression of themselves in the league in their debut season.

And have been difficult to beat in their own backyard this season making their home ground a fortress.

Michaels believes they need to maintain their impressive home record when they face a high flying Chapungu on Sunday.

Chapungu are third on the log standings with 35 points, seven adrift of leaders Kwekwe United, with two games in hand.

“We are just carrying the home advantage tag which we must put into full use and apply ourselves well to the game,” he said.

Dinson Mvuma upset the apple cart handing Chapungu their first defeat of the season in the reverse fixture in May.

But the former Chapungu and MSU coach is not reading much into that result in the first half of the season.

Instead, he expects a tough match against the airmen who are gunning for promotion into the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE MATCH?

“We looking forward to a tough match, the better team of the day should win,” Michaels told The Echo Sports.

“Every game is a new game mostly after this window period with teams having made some additions.”

The air force of Zimbabwe side will be pinning their hopes on free scoring striker Edward ‘Kariba’ Watson.

Watson has been in imperious form and Dinson Mvuma will need to be at their best to stop him.

But action starts on Saturday when log leaders Kwekwe United hosts Blanket Mine at Ziscosteel club.

The Prince Matore coached side have punched above their weight this season and currently lead the race for promotion.

However, Blanket Mine are no push overs and will certainly give the Kwekwe side a run for their money.
