SIMBA Bhora moved four points clear at the top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League with a 1-0 win over Bikita Minerals.

Walter Musona secured the victory with a goal on the half our mark.

The Shamva based side are now on 50 points after 25 matches.

Second placed FC Platinum lost ground in the title race with a one all draw against ZPC Kariba at Nyamhunga.

Panuel Shoko scored for ZPC Kariba early in the second half but his goal was cancelled out on the stroke of full time.

Wilfred Muvirimi nodded home the equalizer for the visitors to ensure a share of the spoils.

WHAT THE COACHES SAID

FC Platinum coach, Norman Mapeza was satisfied with picking a point.

“After dropping points against Bikita, I said that there will be difficult away games for us,” Mapeza said.

“We kept pushing and last minute we got an equaliser. From where we are coming from, that is an important point for us.”

ZPC Kariba coach Newman Chitewe felt his side could have easily won had they been more clinical.

“My guys played well, we just lost concentration on the last minute, it was unfortunate,” he said.

“We had a lot of chances we need to work on our finishing, Samuel Makawa should have scored that one in the first half.”

At Luveve stadium, Telone needed a last minute Kudzanai Jaison goal to salvage a draw against Bulawayo Chiefs.

Telone coach Hebert Maruwa said the point earned is important in their fight for survival.

He also sounded positive about his side’s chances of surviving relegation.

“We are ok we are going to survive, traveling all the way from Gweru to get a point, I am happy”Maruwa said.

Elsewhere, Green Fuel and Caps United settled for a two all draw at the Green Fuel arena in Chisumbanje.

Ngezi Platinum Stars got the better of Yadah winning 2-0 t the Heart stadium.
