AFTER a week of inactivity, resurgent Telone will be hoping for a positive return to action this weekend.

The WiFi boys face off with struggling Bulawayo Chiefs in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match on Saturday.

Neither of the two sides is safe from relegation with only three points separating them.

Amakhosi Amahle are 13th on the log standings with 27 points, three more than Telone who are in 15th position.

But a win for the Gweru side will see them move above Bulawayo Chiefs on goal difference with a game in hand.

The WiFi boys had their match against Dynamos last Sunday postponed due to Dembare’s participation in Caf competitions.

EYES ON THE PRIZE

Telone coach,Hebert Maruwa gave his thoughts on his side’s upcoming fixture against Bulawayo Chiefs on Saturday at Luveve stadium.

“We are not worried about their position on the log,” he told The Echo Sports.

“We are only separated by three points and we have a game in hand, so we need to make sure we collect three points.”

Maruwa’s charges have enjoyed a better run of form away from home since he took over in May.

Their only two wins under the former Dynamos coach’s guidance have come away from home.

Telone beat Arenel Movers 2-1 at Luveve and most recently were 3-1 victors over Yadah.

But this time around, Telone will be without two of their key players for this encounter.

Goalkeeper, Chris Mverechena and the evergreen Eriya Mafirenyika will miss out due to suspension.

And Maruwa acknowledges that his side has to be super organized against the Bulawayo side.

“It is going to be a tough game for us,”he pointed out.

“We need to be organized in terms of the way we play but i am optimistic we will pull through.”
