SHEASHAM coach Lizwe Sweswe believes there is more to come from his side after a narrow 1-0 derby victory over Chapungu in the Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region Soccer League over the weekend.
A third minute Lucky Vundla strike guaranteed the construction boys of both three points and bragging rights.
This was also the first time this season for Sheasham to record back to back wins but Sweswe feels his side of far from reaching its best.
“Coaching such boys makes me proud because tactically they are good,” said Sweswe.
“It is a good victory for us but what is important is for us not to lose more games in the upcoming fixtures until the end of the season.”
Chapungu assistant coach Tafadzwa Mombeshora bemoaned the ‘time wasting’ tactics by Sheasham in the second half.
“For the betterment of football we need these young boys to play good football and fulfill their potential.I was not happy with the amount of football we played in the second half, we need the youngsters to play the full 45 minutes not to have a lot of stoppages,” he said.
The construction boys climbed up the log standings to third place with 13 points.
Army side Tongogara are in second place after beating Dinson Mvuma 2-0 at home while Dulibadzimu settled for a nil all draw away to Blanket Mine.
Wangu Mazodze City settled for a share of the spoils with Beitbridge in a nil all draw. Gokwe North picked a point away from home with another nil all draw against ZRP Gwanda.
Struggling Midlands State University(MSU) were held at home by Black Eagles in a one all draw.
