FC PLATINUM delivered a polished first half performance to garner maximum points with a well deserved 2-0 win over Highlanders at Babourfields stadium on Sunday.
Juan Mutudza and Lawrence Mhlanga scored the goals in the opening ten minutes to make it back to back victories for the Zvishavane side.
It was a result Norman Mapeza’s charges needed to build on last weekend’s narrow 1-0 win over Green Fuel.
Mapeza was delighted that his charges stuck to the game plan.
“I think it was a good game of football, for us it was much to do with the three phases of the game, hence it’s exactly what we did,” he said.
“It was a good game of football well done to the boys, they did exactly what we did at training for the past few days, it’s credit to them.”
The win moves the miners into second spot with 21 points, they now trail log leaders Manica Diamonds who edged Bikita Minerals 1-0 at Sakubva stadium.
