DINSON Mvuma fc coach Joseph Michaels says he is excited by the progress made by his young side in the Ruvimbo funeral Central Region Soccer League in the opening two matches of the season.

The Mvuma based outfit are currently ninth placed on the log standings with two points from two matches.

They drew their opening two matches at home to Wangu Mazodze City (0-0) and a two all draw against title chasing Sheasham last weekend.

“We have a very young squad with a lot of unknown players whom we want to uplift and help develop,” Michaels told The Echo Sports.

The Mvuma side are mainly composed of young players who are still establishing themselves in the division.

Jethro Chakwizira, Beaven Kandani, Tirivangani Muchapuya and Keith Mavhunga are some of the club’s stand out players.

And Michaels is optimistic that his young squad will be a force to reckon with in the league, in the not so distant future.

“They are proving to be good and up to the task.We have managed to hold our own against some of the teams gunning for promotion which shows that we have potential to be a better side,” he added.
