FC Platinum coach, Norman Mapeza described his side’s performance against Arenel Movers as a ‘massive comeback’ after the miners came from two goals down to earn a point on the road at Luveve stadium.
The former league champions appeared to be losing their first match of the season after Arenel went ahead through goals from Crispen Machisi and Toto Banda.
But substitute,Jarrison Selemani led the Zvishavane side’s comeback reducing the deficit before Panashe Mutimbanyoka rescued a point for Mapeza’s side.
“It’s a massive point for us, if you look at the whole match,” Mapeza said after the match.
“If you look at the first 20 minutes, we were camped in their half and what was lacking was that final pass in the last third,” he added.
The former warriors skipper added that his charges showed great resilience to mount a come back.
“From there counter attack and we concede and again same scenario counter attack and we concede the second goal. It was a massive come back with two quality goals,” he added.
