DYNAMOS coach Genesis Mangombe is a man living on borrowed time, this after his side were held to a goalless draw by Yadah Stars on their return to Rufaro stadium on Friday.
It means the Harare giants are yet to register a win in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League this season.
Dembare lost their opening match against Highlanders and drew against Hwange despite having taken what seemed to be a comfortable 2-0 lead at some stage.
While it was a defensive collapse that costed the Glamour boys victory against Chipangano, this time it was Dembare’s strikeforce that lacked the oomph to see the match through.
“We knew from the start that it was going to be a difficult game, but on our side we failed to convert the chances we created, especially in the first half,” Mangombe said of his lethargic forwards.
“In football, if you do not bury your opponents when you create chances in the first half, it will be more difficult in the second half,
“But I also thought we got a goal which was clear in the first half, but the match officials deemed it offside. Maybe they had a better view than us, but I thought it was a clear goal.”
Dembare have now garnered two points in their opening three matches and are five points behind leaders FC Platinum.
Already some sections of the Dynamos fans are beginning to call for the ouster of Mangombe as they believe he does not have what it takes to lead the Mbare side to their first league title in a decade.
