THE Warriors of Zimbabwe are through to the finals of the four nation tournament after beating Zambia 6-5 on penalties, the match had ended 2-2 in regulation time.
It looked like it was going to be a long afternoon for Zimbabwe as they went 2 nil down in the opening 20 minutes.
Veteran Zambian defender Stopilla Sunzu opened the scoring inside two minutes before Cletous Chama doubled the lead for Zambia.
But like true warriors, Zimbabwe never gave up as they went to the break having halved the Zambians lead thorough returnee Macauley Bonne.
Simba Bhora forward Walter Musona levelled matter for Zimbabwe to force the match to be decided on penalties.
Gerald Takwara,Andy Rinomhota,Tino Kadewere,Marshall Munetsi,Donovan Bernard and Daniel Msendami scored for Zimbabwe in the shoot outs while Walter Musona and Divine Lunga missed.
Zimbabwe will now meet the winner of the other semi final between Kenya and Malawi in the finals.
