Ashley Tinashe Kamangira won a bronze medal in the Women’s 100m Hurdles at the African games in Accra, Ghana.

She broke the national record as she finished third in the final clocking 13.59 seconds.

“I’m so grateful that I can be able to come back and win a Bronze Medal for team Zimbabwe,” said the United States based athlete.

In Tennis, Zimbabwe’s top seed Benjamin Lock will be gunning for a gold medal when he plays in the men’s tennis final later in the day on Thursday.

He is also in the doubles final with his brother Courtney and will be looking to add to Zimbabwe’s medals tally.

The national cricket side will also be in action in the semifinals of the cricket when they face Kenya, hoping to emulate the lady Chevrons who won gold at the same tournament.
