Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions Ngezi Platinum Stars have announced the appointment of Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva as assistant to head coach, Takesure Chiragwi.
His appointment is with immediate effect.
“Ngezi Platinum Stars is pleased to announce the appointment of Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva as the Club’s new assistant coach,” Ngezi Platinum said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Mutiwekuziva joins Head Coach Takesure Chiragwi’s technical team with immediate effect.”
Madamburo will participate in the CAF champions league this season, and with Chiragwi not possessing the requisite CAF A coaching badge for him to sit on the bench in CAF competitions, Ngezi Platinum have swiftly made the appointment of a qualified assistant.
Mutiwekuziva is a CAF A holder and has been the head coach at Herentals since 2016.
The Mhondoro based outfit will kick off their title defence this weekend with an away trip to Bulawayo to face debutants Arenel Movers.
Meanwhile, Herentals have appointed Celestino Paul Benza as their new head coach.
Benza is the young brother to Herentals owner and forward, Innocent Benza. He is however, a qualified coach with a CAF A license.
He has been part of the students’ set up for over a decade mainly working with the side’s developmental sides.
“Herentals College Football Club is excited to announce the appointment of Celestino Paul Benza as the Club’s new Head Coach,”the club announced.
“Coach Paul has been the driver of our successful player development program for over 15 years.”
