GREEN Fuel coach Rodwell Dhlakama insists that his side will not be amongst the relegation candidates in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League this season.

The Chisumbanje based outfit will be in their second season in the league after they preserved their league status last year.

It is normally believed the second season is usually the most difficult for smaller teams.

But Dhlakama feels they have made enough investment in the team to make themselves competitive.

“We are not going to talk about relegation given the resources we have, the human resources, the players, technical team and the executive,” Dhlakama said.

“What we simply need to do is to adapt to the premier league demands, we have done that in terms of preparations because we have lured players with experience so we won’t be talking about relegation.”

Last season Boys dzenharo finished in 10th place, five points above the drop zone.

They have acquired the services of highly rated winger Tino Meke from the relegated Cranborne Bullets. The club has also added Luke Musikiri, Stephen Chatikobo, Learnmore Muyambo, and Clive Rupiya to their ranks.

Former warriors midfielder Butholezwe Ncube is also believed to have joined the side while Bruno Mtigo who was released by Ngezi Platinum Stars is trying his luck at the club.

The pair featured in Green Fuel’s 1-0 loss to Highlanders at Bata stadium on Sunday.
