HIGHLANDERS assistant coach, Try Ncube has given a hint that the club may not be very active this transfer window.

Bosso have so far added a few faces to their 2024 squad since the return of Zambian mentor Kelvin Kaindu.

The Bulawayo giants have added striker Reason Sibanda who signed from newly promoted side Arenel, another forward Brighton Ncube is another of Bosso’s new additions together with Brian Ndhlovu and Brian Mlotshwa.

The former league champions have promoted several players from their juniors at the same time parting ways with forwards Stanley Ngala, Washington Navaya and Ray Lunga.

But the Bosso second in command revealed that Highlanders’ transfer business may be as good as done unless the club gets ‘an exceptionally’ talented player.

“We may add one or two if we manage to get exceptional talent,” Ncube said after the 1-0 win over Green Fuel in Gweru on Sunday.

Highlanders are on an 18 year league title drought having last won the league in 2006.

However, Ncube said that should not play in the players’ heads and distract them from giving their best.

“We cannot have pressure, we know we are Highlanders there are expectations but we are going to play to please our players,” he added.
