FORMER Highlanders winger, Washington Navaya,who was offloaded by the Bulawayo giants has surfaced at newly promoted premiership side, Telone fc.
The speedster was last month shown the exit door at Bosso together with Ray Lunga. Coincidentally, Lunga has also found a new home across town, at Sheasham.
Navaya has been training with the WiFi boys and even featured for the Gweru based side in a friendly against Manica Diamonds in Mutare this past weekend.
It is believed Navaya will add weight to the team’s attacking options where the Wifi boys look a bit lightweight.
Blessing Sibanda, who was the top goal scorer in division one last season is expected to lead the line.Other attacking options include Tafadzwa Sibanda, the Muza twins, Fradrick and Fredrick as well as new boy Aubrey Nyandoro.
Telone have kept their cards close to the chest regarding their new additions but, The Echo Sports understands the Tendai Chikuni coached side have kept faith in the squad that won promotion from the Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region Soccer League last season.
A few additions have been made that include goalkeeper Matripples Muleya, midfielder Polyester Shoko and Hugh Chikosa.
