Zimbabwe women’s national soccer team coach, Shadreck Mlauzi has been acquitted of the sexual assault charges levelled against him by a female member of the team’s technical department.
A Harare magistrate, Esther Chichera dismissed the case arguing that the complaint made inconsistent statements and failed to provide credible witnesses.
“The inconsistencies in the complainant’s statements discredit her. case, the State has failed to prove prima facie against the accused,” she said in her ruling.
Mlauzi was being accused of sexually harassing a member of the technical department last year during a tournament in South Africa.
