CARDIFF city midfielder, Andy Rinomhota says he is looking forward to making his debut today when Zimbabwe plays Nigeria at Huye stadium in Rwanda in a 2026 World Cup Qualifier this afternoon.
The 26 year old is in line to make his first international apprearance after missing the match against Rwanda due to logistical challenges.
However, the midfielder is thrilled by the prospect of representing his country.
“I’m here and it’s exciting looking forward to the game ahead,” he said.
“It’s been good meeting up with the boys for the first time, it’s been exciting we have gelled well.”
The warriors will be the home side due to the country having no stadium that meets the FIFA standards.
Zimbabwe will have to be wary of a Nigeria backlash, after the former African champions were held to a one all draw by minnows Lesotho.
Rinomhota feels the unity in the warriors camp can be key to the team posting a good result against the Nigerians.
“Everyone has made it easy from coaches and players so it has been an easy transition,” he added.
