ARMY side, Black Rhinos showed great character coming back from a goal down to edge title aspirants Manica Diamonds 2-1 in a Castle lager premiership match at Bata stadium on Sunday.
Fortune Binzi had given the gem boys the lead in the first half with an easy tap in after a mistake by Rhinos goalkeeper Lennon Gonese.
But Lot Chiwungwa drew the hosts level with a diving header on 67 minutes, before Garikai Dematsika completed the turn around with a powerful shot from distance a minute from time.
With the victory Chauya Chipembere moved one place up the log standings to 17th position with 20 points.
Their coach, Saul Chaminuka was elated by the victory and hopes for the same in the remaining matches of the season.
“I am very happy, more than happy with the win especially coming from behind. I believe this is the turnaround for us,” he said.
“We now have to win more games, maybe get at least five more victories and we will survive.”
Elsewhere, Dynamos completed a double over cross town rivals CAPS UNITED with a 1-0 victory at the National Sports Stadium.
Bulawayo giants, Highlanders lost ground on the title race losing 1-0 away to Hwange at the Colliery.
