A prominent Gweru nurse, Farai Zindonda has been found dead in a suspected suicide case.
He was 56.
Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed that incident h.and have since launched an investigation into the matter.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating a case of sudden death, suspected suicide by shooting,” ZRP Midlands spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko told the media
“A 56-year-old man was found dead, his body lying in a pool of blood at a house in Woodlands residential suburbs, Gweru on Tuesday,” he added.
Zindonda is suspected to have shot himself, as a 303-Rifle loaded with 9 rounds was in his hands, pointing to his head which had a gunshot wound.
Insp Mahoko added that investigations are underway to establish the cause of the death and circumstances leading to the shooting.
