PROPHETIC Healing and Deliverance(PHD) Ministries founder Prophet Walter Magaya is set to appear at the High Court on Thursday for bail hearing.
Magaya is facing four separate rape charges and was arrested on Monday following fresh charges pressed against him.
The State opposed bail, citing the seriousness of the charges, risk of abscondment due to potential lengthy sentencing and concerns over witness interference.
However, on Wednesday his lawyers filed a High Court bail application which will be heard on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) gave an update on the clergyman’s cases.
The NPA states that Magaya’s trial will begin next month and run continuously for four days.
“The accused person is scheduled to appear at Harare Magistrates’ Court for trial beginning Monday the 16th of February 2026, with proceedings set to run continuously until Thursday the 19th of February 2026,” the NPA advised.
