A Zvishavane couple was left counting their losses after they lost US$ 3000 to two armed robbers who broke into their house in Maglas suburb.
The unfortunate incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday 7 May around 0100 hours.
ZRP Midlands spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said on the said night, Phillip Kumura(33) and his wife were asleep when they were awakened by the noise of burglars who were trying to gain entrance into the house.
Kumura went to check where the noise was coming from and saw two men standing by the window. One of the man pointed a gun at Kumura.
“The couple went to hide in the kitchen in fear for their lives,”said Insp Mahoko.
“The intruders entered the bedroom through a broken window, they ransacked the bedroom and took cash amounting to USD$3 000.00 which was inside the wardrobe before they fled.”
