SELF-styled prophet, Talent Madungwe (38) has been slapped with a 105 hour community service sentence after being found guilty of contravening the Road Traffic Act.
Madungwe was arraigned before the Epworth Magistrate court facing charges of negligent driving as well as driving without a valid driver’s licence.
He was found guilty on both charges.
Subsequently, Madungwe was sentenced to a wholly suspended four months prison sentence for driving without a licence on condition that he does not repeat a similar offence in the next five years.
In the other charge, the man of the cloth was sentenced to six months in prison.
However, three months were suspended on condition that he does not repeat the same offence in the next five years.
The other three months were set aside on condition that he completes 105 hours of community service.
It is the State’s case that on August 6 this year, Madungwe was driving out of his Hatfield home turning right.
He is alleged to have side swiped with a Nissan NP300 on the strip road next to Airport road.
The vehicle suffered minor damages on the right side of the load box. The accused did not have a valid driver’s licence.
