GOSPEL artist, Malvern Ncube popularly known as General Malvern has returned with a new offering, this time it is not necessarily a gospel track- but one that preaches peace.

The Gweru based crooner recently released a new song titled Hunhuyi, which is a song that raises awareness on Gender Based Violence( GBV).

In the song, Ncube shows a lot of versatility as he poses a question to the listener on what kind of creature man has become.

Produced by C Fingers, the track was released late last month and has already made its way to the top of the charts on local radio stations.

It has already made top spot on both Central Radio 95.8 and 98.4 FM Midlands.

“The song speaks out strongly against gender-based violence and other forms of abuse, especially the abuse of children by their biological fathers, particularly those affected by substance abuse,” said Ncube.

“This song serves as a wake-up call to all of us, especially men. May we never treat wrong as right.

“May we never confuse light with darkness. Let us return to realization and transformation through Jesus Christ.”

General Malvern urged men to introspect and reconsider their position in the family set up and society.

He called for responsible fathers who are not abusive to their children and wives.

“Being a real man means being responsible for your family. Let us say NO to gender-based violence. It is never too late to introspect, change, and become better,” he added.
