A Zvishavane based author was this past Saturday honoured for his contributions through writing after being awarded by the Dream Discoveries publishers.
Jackson Ngundu an author who has so far penned two books was rewarded for his outstanding efforts in the religion and spirituality category.
His book Identifying the spirit of rejection was chosen as an award winning piece.
Dream Discoveries publishers director Anah Sukoluhle Sibanda said Ngundu was honoured for his efforts and contributions to the body of knowledge in religion an area that is mostly forgotten by many.
“He is honoured for the effort put in writing a book,”she told The Echo.
“Writing isn’t an easy tasks and many a times authors on religion and spirituality are not celebrated and receive the recognition they deserve on their works published hence we’ve them at heart. We award and recognize every achievement to motivate esteemed and aspiring authors to make the publishing industry matter.”
Ngundu who is also a pastor, was grateful for being recognized for his contributions.
“Dream Discoveries publishers thank you so much for encouraging upcoming writers like me and giving us courage that it is possible to publish,” he said.
“Many thanks also to my wife Sarah and my children and all those who have bought my book, this award is for all of us.”
