AT a time when many are going through a lot of difficulties in various spheres of life, a Gweru-based writer has penned a ‘spiritually loaded’ book that looks set to be the panacea to the spiritual dryness in the lives of many a believer.
Titled Keys to effective praying, and authored by Japhet Rambanapasi, the book, which was launched last month and is also available online, takes the reader into another realm, with the hope of providing answers to unanswered prayers.
In his own words, “the reader should look forward to receiving keys that will cause fruitfulness in their prayer life.” And the preface to the book gives the reader the urge to read on, as Rambanapasi gives an apt definition of what constitutes a prayer when he says, “Prayer is a network line that connects the spiritual world and the physical.”
The Echo caught up with the 24 year old as he gave his thoughts on his debut book, which by a good measure, belies the authors’ age.
“This book is not just a book it is a guide with steps to follow on how one can open the windows of heaven through prayer,” Rambanapasi intimated.
“There is a new dimension about prayer that the reader will tap into after reading this book.”
But how did he come up with such a loaded book at the age of 24? At a time when most of his age mates are struggling with finding purpose in life.
He says all that he wrote was God-given through his encounters with the Holy Spirit during long hours of prayer.
“I would say the Holy Spirit gave everything to me during intimacy with God, I would get somethings on the issue of prayer because I love spending time with God in prayer,” revealed the budding writer.
“Such times opened up a fountain of knowledge on this subject. I noticed that such knowledge is being ignored so much in the body of Christ especially with the emerging generation!! That inspired me to pen down this book. Lastly my inspiration came from the desire to contribute in the immortal society.”
The last born in a family of four, and born to pastors, it was not a surprise that Rambanapasi horned his writing skills with inclination towards religious teachings. But his story is not complete without the mention of his mentor, Noble Masvingise, the man who mentored Rambanapasi.
As for his future plans, Rambanapasi, for now is just focused on developing himself as a writer and to impact and change the world with his writings.
“One thing I am sure about is that I want to write as many books, as I possibly can and change lives of people in my generation,” he signed off.
